Documentation / Publishing your agent
Publishing your agent
Save your draft, validate it and publish the version used for new conversations.
Saving and publishing are different actions. A draft lets you work on changes; publishing makes a validated version available for agent execution.
Before publishing
You need permission to edit the agent. Check instructions, tools and documents, test important scenarios and confirm the selected workspace.
Publish a change
- Open the agent and save your changes.
- Review editor validation errors. Fix the indicated fields and connections.
- Select Publish in the editor header.
- Wait for confirmation and check the published version in history.
- Start a new conversation using the intended channel and verify the behavior.
A draft may be saved while incomplete. Publishing requires the agent configuration to pass validation, so a successful save does not guarantee successful publication.
Connect the channel
Publishing the agent does not associate a phone number with it. Configure the channel separately:
- Telephony: choose the number and the agent receiving calls.
Resolve publication errors
If there is no draft to publish, check history and make a new change in the editor. For validation errors, fix the definition rather than repeatedly publishing. A rejected publication does not replace the published version with an invalid definition.
For subsequent changes, work in a draft and repeat testing. Versions explains history and configuration comparisons.
