Documentation / Agent versions
Agent versions
Understand drafts, published versions and change comparisons.
Use history to identify the published configuration and what changed between versions. Viewing an older version does not publish it automatically.
Drafts and publication
| State | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Draft | Edit and save work before publishing |
| Published | Identify the definition made available for execution |
| Historical version | Review a previous configuration and compare changes |
The backend keeps numbered versions with creation/publication timestamps. Editing and publication follow Publishing your agent.
Inspect history
- Open history from the editor header.
- Choose a version by number, state and date.
- Open its preview to inspect the definition and configuration.
- Use the comparison view to inspect changes against the previous version when available.
- Return to the draft to continue editing.
Compare instructions, tools and configuration before attributing a failure only to the model. Also review changes to external systems, documents and credentials.
Correct a problematic change
Consult the earlier version as a reference, apply the correction to your current draft, save, test and publish. Follow this process explicitly: selecting a version to preview is not restoring or publishing it.
Record your verification
Keep your test scenarios and version number before an important publication. Check new conversations after publishing and use runs to investigate results.
